I was lucky enough to be beside the range when it popped and there was a small arc in front. The flash was visible out of the corner of my eye. The oven does not work now but the clock and burners do. I do not have any heat coming off the upper or lower element. I am thinking it is the electronic control panel but I would like to have some imput before I just start buying parts. It is a smooth top Kenmore range that is about 9 years old. Thanks

The broiler and all 4 burners worked on my electric Kenmore and the oven element stopped working. I found that it was a fuse. We have the old screw in type fuses for the house. The range has 2 separate 220v fuses which are about 3" long-cigar shape type. One of these fuses burnt out which only gave the range 110v. We replaced the burnt out fuse and now the oven element works. A very simple solution for me, hope this helps you.
