Hello,

I've checked the valve float, and all the cables seem to be in good repair, but the water won't come on. I've checked to make sure the water is turned on, and added water to the basin but nothing is happening.

I turned it on when I left for work and when I came on it looked like the heating elements were working because the plastic dishwasher agent pouch I used was slightly melted, but not all the way through.

The front panel does warm up when I try and start a cycle.

Thanks for any and all help.

Hi.

Make sure that the float #32 on the diagram is not stocked in the upper position. Then check the water level switch #30 and water inlet valve #16 for continuity and then if the water valve is getting 120VAC in the beginning of the cycle.

Here are the breakdown diagram and Tub assembly replacement parts for Whirlpool DU980QPDB2 UNDERCOUNTER DISHWASHER | AppliancePartsPros.com

Thank you. Post the results.

Simon.
