I recently moved into a rental house with a Hotpoint Americana dishwasher. I couldn't figure out why the dishes were not getting clean, then I unscrewed the rinse aid dispenser, to put in some Jet Dry, and it came out full of brown, rusty water (I'm assuming it's water). I added some Jet Dry, then ran the entire cycle through (no dishes, with the dispenser screw left off), to see if it would clean it out. It's not as thick as it was, but still leaking brown liquid when I close the door. Is there a way to clean out the dispenser, and start fresh? Any help is appreciated!

You will have to remove the inner door panel and the dispenser and then clean/flush it out.
At least that is the only way I can think of. |
