I have a GE side by side fridge. It runs but doesnt get cold enough. The freezer gets down to 10-15 degrees but the fridge only gets to 50-55 degrees. I vacuumed out the coils under the fridge. Didnt seem to help.
On setting number 1 the fridge will run for a while and then shut off. I click it to 2 or 3 and it will run again but doesnt get any colder. Any suggestions?

Hi.

Check if there is snow at the back panel of the freezer.
Check if the evaporator fan motor is running.

Thank you. Post the results.

Simon.

PS. Please provide complete model number.

You might have a bad cold control, turn both of them to the coldest setting, then measure the freezer temperature.
