I replaced the lower heating element in my oven after some fireworks - the element popped in two, and burned a hole in the lower pan. After replacement, it's not heating. Could it be the oven control board or the temp sensor? There is no thermal fuse in this unit. Model #FEF366EMD. Any help is appreciated.

Do the stove top elements work?
Does the broil (upper) oven element work?


Odds are that the control board is toast.
I would remove the rear cover and check that the wiring to the elements is OK.

The upper heating element does not work, but the stove top works fine.

OK, so the unit is getting 240 volts therefore it is either a wiring problem or more likely the control board is shot.

Depends on your definition of easy.
If you click on a part's picture a new page will open often with more views and a Q&A section. This often has install info.

Looks like you remove the rear cover to get at it,
Then it is either held in by a few screws or by clips.
If clips be careful that you do not break them.

You may also need a new overlay (Item20A in Section 1)
Looks like it is a peel and stick.

Just be sure to unplug or flip the breaker when working on it.
If wires can go a couple different places be sure to swap one at a time or make a list/diagram where they go.
