Went out to the refrigerator last night and light was off..thought that it was just lightbulb. This morning the refrigerator/freezer is not cold at all. Things in the freezer are melting. :(:(

Since you said you "went out" I am assuming that the unit is in a porch or garage.

Check that you have power at the plug and then check that the line cord is good to the machine. Not uncommon for a mouse to chew through a wire.

The compressor etc. are usually separate from the light, that is why I believe you have a power problem.

If it is more complicated than this a Model Number may help others help ypu.♦

thanks I will check that. I did check to make sure that it was plugged in and that the fuse had not blown. Both were in check.
