I have a GE Profile over the range microwave, model number JVM2070SK02.

We recently returned from an out of town trip to find that the touch panel is no longer responsive. The three buttons below the touch panel work fine, but the touch buttons do not work.

Apparently there were a number of large storms while we were gone and I am fearing that it may have suffered from a lightning surge.

I am curious about getting behind the panel to check the fuse and/or diode, but am not sure how to pull the panel out without possibly damaging things.

Please Help.

If the display is still lit try to unplug the microwave for a few minutes.

If it would not help, replace the control panel.
