My dishwasher, which is only about a month old, stopped draining. I've checked the lines, the air gap, and the disposal, and there does not appear to be any clogs. I've also checked in the bottom of the dishwasher and do not see anything clogging it from that end. If I take the discharge hose out of the air gap and jiggle it around (for lack of a better term) I am able to get the water to flow through the hose and out of the dishwasher. This leads me to believe that the problem is likely with the dishwasher itself? Since the dishwasher is new, if it is a problem with the dishwasher then it should be covered under warranty. I have scheduled a service call for next week, but I wanted to check to see if anyone else had any other ideas for me to check in the mean time. If I am forgetting to check something and it is not a problem with the dishwasher, then I will have to pay for the service call. Is there any other recommendations of things I can check that could be causing the water to not drain? Thanks!

There ended up being a small piece of broken glass in the motor. I wasn't at home when the technician came but the way he figured it out was by first making sure the motor was getting power using a volt meter. Once he knew the motor should work, he took it apart and the piece of glass was jammed in there so it couldn't move.

Hope this helps!
