I just put in a new clutchless motor and new transmission. We ran the machine empty and the motor is now too hot to touch. The windings are wrapped in "thread" and not epoxy coated and are pretty much fully exposed. Is this the new normal? Thanks.

I am not sure what motor you put in. Here is the parts diagram for your model and what you should have used.

Make certain the motor you purchased is right for your model.
