I have an Amana refrig that stopped cooling - both sides. I moved it to the garage. It was unplugged for a week or two. Just for fun I plugged it back in and it worked fine. It worked for about 4 months. Then we had a hot humid day and the garage door was open all day with a lot of in and out of the refrig. The refrig went out again.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Remove freezer back panel and look for frost buildup.
If nothing working, look for a stuck defrost timer.
