An intermittent problem with the microwave sensing that the door is shut has now progressed to having to slightly depress door open button to get the unit to heat and turntable to turn. My question is twofold; 1) Is there an adjustment on the switch location that I can adjust? 2) If no adjustment fix and replacement is warranted, can I replace switch (AP2024337) safely without having to discharge the capacitor? Regards, Jim

Thanks Simon for your response. I finally have taken microwave out of the wall and disconnected trim package. I then brought unit to my workbench and removed the cover to expose electronics and wiring. I then discharged the capacitor and checked the three door switches per troubleshooting guide enclosed within the case. The monitor and door sensing switches checked okay per ohmmeter, but the primary interlock switch remained open with micro switch pressed in or out and also with door closed it was open and per wiring diagram should be closed to complete circuit. The connector to that switch was a little discolored also like it had arced. Are there any other checks I shoul make while I have it apart?
Regards, Jim

Simon. Well Simon thanks for the help, got the switch in today and microwave works and back in the hole with trim kit on. $14 switch saved me $$$$ that my wife wanted a convection microwave. Thanks again. Regards, Jim
