My dishwasher turns on but goes to the wash cycle and just stays there. Also hear a buzzing noise near vent in the door. When I manually press "cancel," the water pumps out, but pump doesn't quit. Everything appears to be electronic, so I would guess that the control circuit board is goofy. Is my guess correct?

Hi John, If the dishwasher runs more then 2 minutes after the cycle has been canceled - most likely the problem is the control board. - The part number for the control board is AP3875193 Gene.

Gene: Much thanks for the feedback. When I turn it on it starts washing, as normal, but it never quits the wash cycle. If I press Cancel, it pumps the tub out and then starts to fill back up, and then quits completely.

The first thing I would check is the heating element and the hi limit thermostat. Measure resistance from ST1 terminal (red/black) ST11 terminal (white) at the control board. It should be about 16 Ohms. If there is nothing wrong - replace the control board. If it shows the open circuit then check for continuity the hi limit thermostat and the heating element. Whichever part is open - it has to be replaced. - The part number for the control board is AP3875193 - The part number for the hi limit thermostat is AP3140471 - The part number for the heating element is AP3457559 Gene.

I really appreciate your advice, and will check those teminals. Could you tell me where the hi-temp thermostat is? This whole problem started as a result of a blockage in the line that goes to the garbage disposal.
