I've got a Whirlpool Fridge, the fill tube on the ice maker has starting clogging with ice. Wondering if I need a new water Inlet Valve, or what else could it be. I will also mention that I recently had a reverse osmosis water system installed in our house, the ice make being attached to that. It operates on much lower water pressure than a standard water line. Could this have something to do with my current issue?

Yes it may be related to your filter system re: the valve does not shut off the water quickly enough so you get a couple drips and it freezes then builds up enough to clog the line.

Only way I know to troubleshoot it is to hook it up to a full pressure water supply or try a new valve.

With luck someone else will jump in with a better way to narrow this down.
