The problem happened when one of the bulbs broke and seemed to short out. Everything else is working just not the under lights, inside light is OK. I need help trouble shooting microwave lights not getting power. GE rep. mentioned probably need to replace the control panel? What part normally blows when the lights short out?

Remove all screws holding the bottom panel (were the lights are) and open it. Unplug the quick disconnect plug for the lights and using a simple meter check the power on the plug, pushing the light pad on the control panel. It should be 120V when the light switch is "on". If there is 120V then replace the light bulbs, check the sockets and wires.
If there is no 120V (it could the power bun much less the 120V) then replace the control board. The part number for the new control board is AP3191409

Good luck.
