I have a Citation chest freezer that was sold by auto zone. Just bought this freezer a few days ago and it was working when I bought it. Got it home and took it out of the truck and pluged it in and all it does is click. The light on the front is on but the compressor won't start. Is this the compressor or something else? How can I trouble shoot this problem.

hi,

It the start relay you are hearing click.

Could just be a bad start relay or the compressor maybe bad.
The start relay is mounted on the side of the compressor.

I would ohm out the compressor with a multimeter and if it checked out ok then I would replace the start relay.
