Got this high efficiency washer last year and it was hooked up when delivered. Had painters come and they unhooked it. They hooked it back up and it is leaking now. I am confused about how to install it properly, but something isn't right. The cold water opening on the washer has a y-splitter that was added when it was originally installed. Do I hook both hoses to that like it is in the picture? And connect nothing to hot? If I connect 1 to hot and 1 to the splitter on cold then obviously water is flowing out of the end of the y-splitter that has nothing connected. Are we missing a piece? Maybe the painters threw it out, who knows. All I know is I did a load of wash and there was a bit of water on the floor. Never had that problem before until it was unhooked then hooked back up by these people. Cant add my pics for some reason. Thanks for any advice.

A model number may help others help you. Model Number LocatorWith the number you should be able to go to the Maytag site and look it up under Customer Support / Manuals. They may have an install manual. Looks like you are trying to link to a third party site. Many of these are known to have/promote spam and/or adware so are banned from many other sites. The site may be OK but just has a bad reputation for some reason. Have you tried add an image (mountain with a sun icon) at top of reply. |
