I have a maytag washer that filled now it will not do anything. I have checked for power and I have it to the door safety switch. The switch has 4 wires going to it. Should I have continueity, with the door close acrossed the black and red wires.
How do I test the safety switch, and the timer?

Hi.

With the lid closed continuity as follow - Black to Red, White to Yellow, Red to Yellow.
Check the fuse if there is one. (It's optional).
Check if you can hear a click (from the lid switch) when you close the lid.See if the switch actuator is engaging the switch.
