hey, gene, my problems are pretty much the same - self-cleaned, now the display is blank - and I'd like to think i can start by just replacing the fuse, with the crimp in it . . . and if it still doesn't work, then replace the thermal overload too. The thing is, I'm used to looking at bad fuses, that look bad because there's a break in the middle, but there's no break in this one (still bad ... it has to be 'tested'?), and I can pull it apart/from the control panel, but the 'other end of the fuse' is really snug - just pull real hard . . . ? I'm worried about tearing something up, I already broke the plastic molding on one side :-(
