My Whirlpool range has been acting strange lately about a month ago we had the burners on and the oven then they all went cold and PF was on the display I assume that means power failure. I cycled the breaker and everything came back on and now about a month later it did it again with the oven and burners on everything started cooling down like it couldn't get power and it shut off and said PF. I changed out the 30 amp double breaker with a new one and it came back on but then the next day it did the same thing when the oven was used. I looked at the plug and it looks good, the wiring is the right size so I think it must be the range I have used it for about 6 years. I looked under the back panel and everything looks good as far as connections, there isn't much back there to look at I am wondering if the one piece oven control, clock, etc. display is bad if so it costs about 200 which would justify a new range. Any ideas of what I might check on this? I appreciate any ideas.

thanks,

Any ideas? I wired up a plug in the garage tonight and so far it hasn't lost power but it went a month last time before it fail twice in two days. I noticed an arch spot on the plug on the stove like a power surge had burned a spot on the prong. I gues it could have done that when I plugged it at one time or another.

thanks,
