Washer makes a high schrill metal bearing noise during agitation. Not during fill or spin.

Hi,

Maybe something caught in the drain pump. The drain pump runs in reverse during the wash cycle when it's agitating and runs the other directions during the spin cycle to drain.

This is the pump your model uses, Part number: 3363394

I removed the drain pump and the noise stopped.

I took your recommendation and looked inside the drain pump and, wah lah, I found a thin piece of steel inside of it. I removed it and guess what? No more noise. You just saved me $50.00 and an hours round trip to the parts store.
