My Oven ignitor will not function. Took a look at it last night and noticed that the broiler works fine. Because the ignitors were fasten with 2 screws I decided to switch out the ignitors to see if the oven one was the problem. Job done but same problem, no ignition for the oven but the broiler works fine. Seeing the ignitors both work on the broiler installation do I assume it's the main control panel or some type of gas valve problem. Any help is appreciated.

You did a good job narrowing down the cause of the problem. I would suspect either the main oven control, or a separate relay board, if your model has one.
Unplug the range. Go to the rear of the unit and locate the wires that lead from the igniter in question and follow them to the control board. If there are relays on this board, you may or may not feel comfortable electrically testing them. If you're receiving power to the board (by your description, you are), and not from that particuar relay, replace it.

Of course the control panel Part #WB27K5187 is a part that is not available. :( So I need to find the relay which is a:
OMRON G5L-UA-006059
No go on locating one of those either. :mad:
Can I solder in a 24v relay with the same specs?
I never use the broiler so I thought about removing that one and using it for the oven but I assume that the self cleaning feature requires the broiler to function.
Am i toast? :confused:

Unbelievable prices I found at www.the-kitchenfactory.co.uk . Definately the cheapest kitchens in the world. £945 got me a walnut shaker kitchen with solid oak worktops. If you’re looking for cheap kitchens then this really is the company for you. cheap kitchen

Am i toast? :confused: The relay for the broiler has to work, because the broiler comes on initially with the bake igniter, to speed up the preheat cycle. If you can find a comparable relay, and have the skill to solder it to the board, then it'll keep you from having to replace the range. Let us know how how it goes.

I was able to find a relay that meet the specifications, had a friend solder it in annnnnnnnnnnd...still no ignition. :confused: Well started to think maybe it was the gas control so I switched the leads for the broiler and the oven annnnnnnnnnnnnnd....nothing. :confused: :confused: After a few words to myself I remembered reading that the ignitors were rather fragile so I checked it and sure enough the ignitor was bad. I must have damaged it when I switched them out. So in the end it was a bad relay and I unknownling damaged the ignitor. Simple fix with a lot of time into it but I save many Honey B's over buying a new stove. :D Thanks for your help.
