My side by side Admiral occasionaly stops but after letting every thing melt in it I was able to unplug it and plug it back in the first time and it started and this time I adjusted the thermostat model 61001343 and the compressor started I do not know if it is the thermostat or if I may have jarred the defrost timer model 68233-3 which is right next to the thermostat. Should I replace both of them? Could one of these be the problem? The old side by side runs fine when it is running.

Bypass the thermostat when the fridge does not start.

If it would start - the thermostat is bad and has to be replaced.

I'm not able to tell if the part numbers are right without the complete model number of the fridge.

I will try that next time it quits I am thinking about replacing both of them because it will run for a month between times it quits, it has only quit twice but I think it is going to be an ongoing thing. The part numbers came off the parts on the fridg. If there are better replacements let me know.
Thank you for your time!

In order to provide the most accurate advise I need the complete model number of the fridge.
