Hello,
When selecting a water level to fill the washer the water continues to flow non-stop. What may be causing this. Also what is a capacitor?

If you are forced to turn the water off at the wall to keep the tub from overflowing replace the water valve. If when you turn the washer off the water stops flowing you either have a bad water level switch or the tube that run from the tub to the switch may be clogged, broken or just off. Oh and a capacitor is a device that stores electricity much like a battery but can be charged and discharged in a fraction of a second.
