I'm not sure how this program works, but here goes. The dishwasher drain pump does not seem to start when running through the cycles. It wii click but the pump does not start and water remains in the machine.

I'm assuming the click you hear is the drain solenoid energizing. If it's pulling down and the motor is running, my guess would be that you've got an obstruction somewhere blocking the flow of water. Be it where the flap is the solenoid pulls open, or somewhere in the hose.
