The furnace in my up north cabin stopped working this winter and the house went into deep freeze for about a month. Luckily I shut off the water. Now that everything is thawed out, water is flowing freely into the tub of my dishwasher through what appears to be the fill hole on the bottom left side, even though the dishwasher is not turned on, and is overflowing out the door causing a flood on the kitchen floor.

Unfortunately I am a couple hundred miles away and need to get parts to repair it before I head up north this weekend. Does anyone have any suggestions on what might need to be replaced to correct this problem?

Sounds like the freeze broke your fill valve Item 16 in Section 7.
