My whirlpool washing machine stopped while washing and a buzzer came on, will not du anything, When you pill the start button it buzzes. Any suggestions on the trouble?

It could very well be a couple things, but the most common problems, coupler, something in between the basket and the tub, Bad timer sends the proper voltage to the motor or even a bad cap on the motor or last but not least would be a bad motor....To open unit there are two screws in the back on the control, remove those and lift out and up on the control but please disconnect the power....Then on both side of the washer there are two clips with a flat head screw driver you can easily pry those out be sure to remove the lid switch wire... Then the whole cabinet will tip toward you and remove.....Emark81@yahoo.com if you have further questions
