We have a 6-year old GE profile side by side. The freezer and fridge were about 10 degrees warmer than usual. We pulled it out from the wall and took off the back panel. The compressor was very hot to the touch and the condenser fan was running (the fan down by the compressor). We vacummed out all coils and under the kick plate in front. The compressor was not running at this point. We then put a box fan aiming on the compressor and it started running again. The temperatures returned to normal in the freezer and fridge. We left the box fan on all night - temps are good. We turned the box fan off this morning and the compressor is getting quite hot again. (too hot to touch). The condenser fan is spinning - we do not hear any "clicking noises". The temps in fridge and freezer remain good. Any thoughts? The heat of the compressor is concerning us.

Measure the stabilized freezer temperature and post, should be between zero and 5 degrees.
