hi -
we bought a new belt for a GE wsm2780dbwww (stackable) dryer, and we're wondering whether it's best to try to get it over the drum from the front or the back (and how to deal with any problems that we haven't anticipated).

thanks,

stuart

You put the belt on from the front and hook it around the idler pulley from the service panel in the back.

Here is the service manual which will take you through the process. It is fairly easy, just takes time and patience, but no special tools or skills.

In case you are wondering why this is a Frigidaire manual it's because the only thing GE about this machine is the GE logo pasted on it.
