A month ago, my washer stopped running halfway through the regular wash cycle, but I could spin the timer and advance to the rinse cycle. Smelled something electrical at the time, and I began using only the "permanent press" cycle, as that seemed to work fine all the way through. Last night, it seems I let the rest of the magic smoke out, as I smelled the electrical smell again and now nothing works. It stopped halfway through and doesn't want to play anymore.

Hi.

If you will provide the complete model and serial numbers I'll assist you with getting the correct part number for the timer.

Thank you.

Simon.

So you're fairly certain it's the timer? I keep reading how rare that is, so I just want to be sure.

The model number is 110.27612600
Serial number is CU1240300

Thanks for your help, I don't want to go out and buy another one if I can fix this one.

:D

Hi.

First check the lid switch (open the control panel and by pass it).
If that doesn't work - replace the timer.
You can return any unused parts even if you installed them.

The timer Part number: 8577356
Part number: 8577356

The lid switch Part number: 8318084
Part number: 8318084

Good luck. Post the results.

Simon.

FIXED! I ordered the timer on Friday, it came on Tuesday (one day ahead of schedule), it took me about 15 minutes to replace (thanks to the video YOU supplied) and now I have my washer back. Thanks guys, this was amazing. Happy Camper Here.:D
