im having some trouble taking drive pulley off the motor shaft.I hold the shaft with vice grips and the pulley doesnt turn either clock or counter clockwise. I dont want to force it. can you help?

which way is the drive pulley supposed to turn.clock or counter clockwise?

Hi,

I believe it's counter clockwise, but I have not had to take one off for years.

Why are you trying to take it off? The new motor should come with one on it.

Other wise if your replacement motor does not have one you could look at the threads on it to tell for sure if it's counter clockwise threads or not.

I have had to heat a few up with a touch to get them to pop loose too.
