My front load GE wash machine will not go into high RPM to spin out the water. I went into service mode and found no error codes at all. Went through the test list and t11 and t14 worked properly, went through and up to 1000RPM. I removed the control board and reinstalled all the connectors and looked for any bad crimps on the wires and terminals and it all looked good. I checked the door lock wiring and it all seems to be fine. Does it come down to a bad Control Board??? If so what part number do I need to order???
Thanks Bill

Hi Bill,

Check the belt. Make sure it does not slip with a load.

Positively no belt slipping. I used the service mode t14 to dry a wet load and it worked fine.

"t14"? I did not see it in the tech sheet. The last one is t13.

I'm looking at the tech sheet and it ends with t14. Hit Start - Spins at 100rpm then 350 rpm then 1000 rpm. Hit Power Stops spinning. This all works fine in the test mode with a load or without a load.

Tech sheet number on the bottom of the page is 175D5412P001. For Model #'s GBVH6260, GCVH6260, WCVH6260, WBVH6240 and WHDVH626.

This Tech sheet was found under the top panel of the wash machine.

I notice under the "Find Parts" tab it does not have a listing for my Model # WBVH6240FWW, the closest number is WBVH6240F0WW. Is the same control panel used on both?

Thanks Bill

Hi Bill,

I found the tech sheet with part# 175D5412P001. There are no difference between this tech sheet and the other tech sheet with part# 175D5412P002 which I had. There is no t14 in both of them. I attached both of them, so you can compare them.

The model number WBVH6240F0WW is the only one which comes up during the search. Where did you find the model number WBVH6240FWW?

According to the manual, "selecting the spin speed modifies final spin only" and is available on "White" selection only. It can not be more than 1000 Rpm with a balanced load.

Your attachment is for tech sheet 175D6149P001 not sure where that comes in??? My tech sheet number is 175D5412P001.

I've attached my sheets with t14 on them.

The model number (WBVH6240FWW) has been triple checked and its found on the tag on the side of the machine and also on the original paperwork when purchased. You can google the model number and it comes up but it does not come up on this website.

Hi Bill,

I found only two mini-manuals for this model number, published by GE online while you found the third one inside the control panel. Good. The only difference between them is the t14 test. Not a big deal.

The model number for your washer without zero between "F" & "W", which states for "Engineering Revision", is important for any parts search. That's why without it the model number does not come up on any serious websites like GEapplianceparts, Sears parts or APP.

Anyway, our discussion becomes meaningless because it does not help to diagnose and/or fix your washer.

If by the selections you've made, the final spin should be at the highest speed of 1000 rpm (with a balanced load) and it's not, then your suggestion about a bad control board looks like the right one.

- The control board Part number: WH12X10355
Part number: WH12X10355
