The above confused me.
Does it still work once in a while?
How do you know it still has heat when it will not start?
The reason I ask is that you should not have heat unless the motor is rotating.

Does the interior light work?
If it also went out when the start problem showed up.
The reason is that your heater and timer work off of the full 240 volts.
The interior light and the motor run off of half the line (120 volts) so if the light also is not working you probably have a power problem (no neutral).
Try flipping the breaker off/on slowly a couple times.

There is also a thermal fuse in line with the motor.
It is on the blower assembly., it may be blown.
In this case the interior light works but the motor will not start.
If it is open be sure to check/clean your vent system as this is the most common cause of it blowing.
Could also be a bad start switch, door switch, motor or timer.

The thermal fuse (Item 7 in Section 1) is the most likely.

Unplug the unit and check the fuse with a meter should be 0 ohms.

Jiggery Pokery method is.
Unplug the unit.
Remove both wires from the fuse, short them together and tape them up so they will not short to the frame.
Plug the unit in and give it a try.

If blown, replace the fuse ASAP as it is a critical safety device re: prevents lint fires which can turn into house fires.

Also clean/check your vent system and the blower as these are the most common causes of it blowing.

Item 7is the thermal fuse it is screwed onto the blower housing.
