We have the french door fridge, ICE2O When the water filter is used there is a loud noise. We took off the inside panel, located the dual water valve, as this is where the noise came from. We replaced it. Was quite for a few minutes then started the noise again. We changed the filter. Still the same noise. We then took the filter out, and put the blue bypass cap in place of the filter. The noise has stopped but we don't have the water filter in the fridge. With the New water filter in it makes noise but with it out it doesn't. We did notice though when the filter is first put back in the noise stops until you run a couple glasses of water then it starts again. So right now we have the filter out.

Sarah,
You're going to need to check or replace the water tank/head assembly

Part number: AP4014201
Part number: AP4014201

If there is no deposits or debris in the tank, and there aren't any cracks or air bubbles in the tank, then the issue is in the "head" mechanism valve , and it will need to be replaced.

Thanks and Good Luck,
