Work fine unless wife tries to scramble 2 eggs or cook 1 potatoe. Shuts down and date time needs to be reset. Does not happen if cup of water added or cook at reduced power. Wife pushing for new microwave. HELP!

How long it runs before shuts down?

How long it stays off?

The microwave would run for only 2 or 3 seconds after pushing the 30 second button. Clock screen would require reset. Starts immediately after clock reset. Will shut down again in seconds unless reduce power level or add a cup of water. Small quantity of food and low density seem to trigger a sensor. Problem never happens with even a half cup of water.

Most likely the problem caused by the electromagnetic waves, leaking from the magnetron and interfering with the control board.

- The part number for the magnetron is AP2025937
