Removed icemaker to see if I could determine why leaking and forming ice clump. Noticed that the coating on the ice cube tray had deteriorated and was falling apart. Could this be the problem? Also have been reading on your site about #AP4071381.

See the attachment for the tech sheet.

Here is a manual though it does not say much about the ice maker.

You may have to join the site to get the manual but it is free and is a great place for manuals on all types of appliances..

I am not sure why you are looking at AP4071381.
When I look at the parts the water valve for your unit comes up as AP4080917 (Item 10 in Section 1).

If you click on the picture a new page will open with more info and a Q&A section you may want to try this also for the replacement ice maker (item 1 in Section 9.

You did not describe the clump but it sounds more like a water valve that is not closing correctly (leaking or closing too slow).

The ice maker should be replaced if the coating is peeling off.
