Our disposer is leaking through the cover plate for the ground connection at the bottom of the disposal. There is a small stream of water when water is put down the drain. After the water from the tap is turned off it reduces to slow drips. The leak is not coming from the upper housing, around the housing. Any Ideas?

There is a button on the very bottom. If that doesn't work, try Drain-o. Then, if that doesn't work--call Roto Rooter or a plumber. Pro Cleanse

Can’t there be a solution except changing the disposer.
