I have a Whirlpool HD Super Capacity Plus Gas Fryer Model LGR7646EQ3.
The dryer stopped drying. Makes a type of rattling noise/scratching, hard to describe. Result is no heat.
Checked voltages seem OK. What else could it be?

There are a few parts involved in the heating process and you have to check them to find which one is bad. You can use the instructions from one of our previous posts: http://forum.appliancepartspros...3-no-heat-gas-dryer.html

You'll be able to find a source of the noise after you take the dryer apart.

Here are the breakdown diagrams and Replacement parts for WHIRLPOOL LGR7646EQ3 | AppliancePartsPros.com

Gene - have you had any instances where the Valve PN AP3094298 went bad?

Very seldom, maybe 4 or 5 times.
