Dear Appliance Expert,
My GE profile (Model dspr473ewoww) doesn't get as hot as I think it should. Iv'e checked the incoming power and both legs are ok. I'm now attempting to check the heating element. I've removed the top and the front but I can't determine where to go from here. I have a multimeter ready to use when I gain access and can determine where the connections to the element are. Can you help?
Thanks Chuck
p.s. - will you please tell me where to get a service manual for this model?

The model number you gave didn’t show up but if I change it to dpsr473ewoww it works. With the power disconnected reach under the tub and unhook the belt. Once the belt is loose pull the drum straight out. The heating elements are behind the drum. It is very common for one of the elements to burn out and the other still working so you wouldn’t get as much heat as you describe. Usually you can see the element broken or grounded out so you probably won’t need the meter. Hope this helps! GE Dryer Not Heating Repair Guide
