Kind of a strange problem. For awhile it seemed as if it was overheating because after u would dry a load it wouldnt restart for about an hour or so. Cleaned the vents and that seemed to go away. Now just yesterday it began a completely new problem. Normally u turn the timer to whatever setting u want and then hit the start button to start the dryer but now when u turn the timer to anything but off it begans to run on its own and makes a buzzing sound then shortly after somthing (im assuming a saftey device) clicks and it stops altoghter for about 2-3 minutes and will repeat.

I got the back panel off of the top where the switches are and disconnected the "turn on" switch thinking that that may have been stuck to the "on" position inside the switch but it did the same thing.

Suggestions? Thanks.

Did it heat up when it was running by itself?

Where that buzzing sound is coming from?

Sounds like you are not going to fix it.

Just in case, most likely the problem is a bad motor.

- The part number for the motor is AP2107144
