I am having no success in removing the timer knob from my gas dryer. I do not believe that it just pulls off because none of the others do either. There is very little room for screwdrivers or needle nose pliers in case there is a clip. Does anyone have experience with this?

Hi.
According to the diagram this is a pull out knob. Hold the knob from two sides and pull out straight.
Be careful not to break the shaft.
Thank you.
Simon.

I will not be able to get back at it for about a week. Wife says leave it alone for now because it is drying. The knob does not line up with the proper setting but it does move through its cycle sometimes. I will try again but it's like it is glued on. I wonder it was used by others while we were away???
