I have a very hot door frame on my side by side Whirlpool. I tried cleaning the coils to no avail. It is cool after sitting all night but after use it gets hot again. Also, the freezer and fridge are not as cool anymore. Does not sound like a fan is running.
Any suggestions? I am game to order a fan and try to replace but am I just guessing and then will have to call a repairman anyway or is it worth the wait and effort to try?
Thanks for the advice!

Thanks for the advice! If your condenser fan motor isn't running that can cause your symptom. It is located in the back of your unit next to the compressor. It is suppose to have heat where your describing to keep the unit from sweating. Just depends on how hot you're talking about. A loop of the condenser coil runs around the perimeter of the freezer for the reason I mentioned above.
