I have a whirlpool calypso washer. The panel reads LD after the begining of the spin cycle starts (it means long drain). We had our warranty company come out (National Home Protection) but the service man said he didn't want to fix it that he would help us get a new machine. We really like the machine (it's part of a set) and want to get it fixed. Can you tell me what the name of the part is that needs to be replaced so that it will drain. According to the repair guy the part was really rusted and he had seen dozens with this problem while he worked at sears appliance. Can someone please help me out?

From my experiences with these machines, it is common for the pump impeller inside the electric water pump go bad, therefore it just slips on the motor shaft and will give you a slow or no drain situation leading to an LD fault code. Pumpout motor required, but not sure what the part # is.
