I have a GE side by side, model ZFSB25DXA SS that is only a few years old. The interface, partWR55X10388, has a problem and goes blank. I replaced the interface but still have the same problem with a new interface. Everything is fine for a while and then I will check and the screens that display the temperature in the freezer and the fridge are blank and the controls will not work. At times the digital readout will show that the freezer temp is being adjusted even when I have not touched the controls. Other times both the refrigerator and the freezer displays are blank and the buttons do not work. I have to unplug the refrigerator for a while and then the panel usually works when I plug it back in. It seems to happen more often when there is condensation in the fridge. I am wondering if it is the condensation getting on the interface board causing the problem and if it is, how can this be fixed? I have tried spraying a silicone spray on the board to help shed the water from condensation but that seems to only work for short periods of time. I have attached a picture of the interface.

Hi.

Most likely the problem is bad main control board. it's located at the back right under the metal cover.

The main control board Part number: AP4481481
Part number: AP4481481

Good luck. Post the results.

Simon.

Simon, thank you for the response. I see the link for the part but I do not see a link on how to test it. Could you tell me where to find that link.
Thanks.

Due to the size of the file cannot send it to you via forum. If you send me you email address I'll try that.

Thank you.

Is there a way I can send you my email without posting it on this thread?

Hi.

Sorry, we have to use forum.

Let's check the harness under the freezer door, if checks OK, then at the main control board check for 13VDC between terminals J4-2 and J4-3.

No voltage - replace the control board.

Thank you.

Simon.
