I have a Admiril / Maytag Dishwasher not Amana the push button access for opening and closing door broke with door closed. Needless to say my dishes are locked inside. I can't access anything. Serial # Model # are on side of tub. In order to read them the door has to open to get to the screws and pull washer out from counter. Does anyone have any idea's?

Michael, If your dishwasher is a "Jackson" built machine, and has a lift up handle to unlatch the door, and less than 10 years old, you can usually "snatch" the door open, or if you can get your fingers between the door liner and the tub flange at or near the top of the door, you can force it open without too much damage. Just be careful and try not to damage the control panel.
