the "clean" light has started flashing and we can't reset it. Pressing the run button doesn't start the washer. Pressing the cancel button gives two bars in the display panel.
Washer won't start.

New control panel needed?
Is this a continuing problem with this model?

The Clean LED blinking 7 times in repetitive fashion means the control detected no temperature increase in heated intervals.

Try to clear the control by pressing the following keys, in order, in less than 6 seconds, while in standby: Heated Dry, Normal, Heated Dry, Normal.

If the control will stop running again, post it and we will proceed with further troubleshooting.

The model number you posted is incorrect.

I reset using your procedure ans so far it's working.
What would be the possible cause of the unit going into the flashing mode?
We had a repairman out here and he told us it was the control panel.
The correct model # GU2400XTPS3

Most common cause is insufficient incoming water temperature. It suppose to be at least 120°F

Otherwise there is something wrong wit the parts involved in the water heating process. They are" the heater, the high limit thermostat and the control board.

Here are the breakdown diagrams and Replacement parts for Whirlpool GU2400XTPS3 UNDERCOUNTER DISHWASHER | AppliancePartsPros.com
