Hello,

I have a Kitchen Aid Superba Refrigerator which I moved from my home to my office. It was working fine before the move, but now when I plug it up, the power comes on and the fan runs, but neither side will cool now.

After doing some research I found that when you lie your refrigerator down (which I did to move it) that I may have caused oil leakage from the compressor, into the condenser and on to the filter drier or capillary tubes. And that I may have to replace my capillary tube or filter dryer. Is this possibly the problem? Could you please tell me where to start so that I may fix this problem?

Thank you.

Hi.

First, make sure the compressor is running.
Then take the freezer rear panel off and check how the evaporator coils covered with frost.
If there is a lump of ice where the captube entering the evaporator it's most likely the restriction in the sealed system.
That is a big job, you will be better of calling the professional.

Thank you. Post the results.

Thank you Simon! A quick update, I did pull the refrigerator out and looked at the back and found that the compressor had come unplugged. After hooking it back up, the refrigerator cools fine. I sure do appreciate your help :) .
