The electric elements on my glass top range cycle on and off repeatedly. They start turning on and off before they even seem to get to temprature. Whirlpool says this is normal, but it is not vey good to cook on with the temp fluctuating and taking os long to get hot. I have heard that there might be a problem with the limit switch??

See the attachment for the tech sheet

As you can see each element with it's limit switch and it's infinite switch is connected across the 240 volts.
By the sound of it this is happening to all elements so a limit switch on one of the elements should not effect the others.

It is normal for the elements to go full on and then off.

All I can suggest is that you check the power going to the unit to be sure it is getting 240 volts (L1 to L2) and 120 volts on each side when referenced to Neutral.
