The freezer/frig compartments go warm intermittantly (over last month) Has gone to point of melting freezer food. If I unplug for short time, I hear compresser kick in and it returns to normal operation. Had appliance guy out but it was ok at the time of service. He suggested mother board. Is this a common failure for intermittant issues?

If so this is almost always the main board especially if it is intermittently working. Pull the main board off and look on the back of the board for a bad solder joint. If not there is a bad relay on the board. Refrigerator repair guide

I have looked over the back of the board and thinks looked ok...I will do a closer investigation before I replace the board. Thanks for the quick reply. Dobber

Got tired of waiting so went ahead and replaced. Temps now more stable, not seeing the fluctuations. Hope that helps. dobber
