My Kennmore elite 110 washer stoped in rinse cycle full of water and does nothing. scooped water out tried again it fills but thats it turned dial to every position nothing. Most info ive read is pointing to lid switch. i can hear it click and i can put my hand in and push lever up and still nothing any way to make sure thats what it is?

This link will show you how to test the lid switch by by-passing it. If that works, replace the lid switch.
If that is not the problem, let us know and please post the full model number.

Take off the cabinet as shown in the link to the lid switch and put the machine in spin. See if the motor and pump are turning.

Thanks theres nothing just a slight humm or buzzing from timer area any other ideas. just my luck its never an easy fix thanks Bryan

Go ahead and take off the cabinet and do the following.
1. Check to make certain there is nothing caught in the agitator, under the agitator or between the basket and the tub.
2. Take off the pump (be prepared for water rushing out and making a small mess) and see if there is anything broken in the pump and that the pump turns freely. Make sure there is no obstruction in the drain hoses.
3. If this is clear, take off the motor and see put the washer in spin. By pass the lid switch and see if the motor turns.
4. If all this works, see if the shaft into the transmission turns easily.
Let us know what you find out. Don't get frustrated, hopefully there is a simple fix and we will know more after you are able to do these things.
