I have a Maytag dryer MGD3000. I bought it NEW used. It had never been run, and I believe it. I ran ONE load through it and it ran just fine. The second load ....... It spins when there are no clothes in it, but balks when it is filled. It has a slight burning odor when I put a bit more in it. PLEASE HELP

You are going to have to open it up and check the following.

1. Is the drum positioned correctly?

2. Is there any problem with the rollers or other devices which support the drum? Try turning the drum by hand and see how easy it is to do so. It should be fairly easy.

3. Is the belt positioned correctly.

You also need to observe to see if when it is not turning whether or not the motor is not turning, or the motor is turning but the belt and drum are not.

Good luck, let us know what you find out.
